About Microblading

Microblading is the application of a semi-permanent pigment into the superficial layers of the skin using a tool consisting of tiny needles. This procedure creates the appearance of individual eyebrow hairs and lasts approximately 12-18 months before completely fading. Microblading is the perfect cosmetic procedure for someone seeking to reduce time in their daily routine, or wanting to alter the shape or thickness of their brows.

Microblading is a two step process for your eyebrows to look complete. The first session we map out your brows and add the first layer of hairstrokes. The second session, scheduled 4-6 weeks after your first appointment, is to add back in any hairstrokes that may have fallen out during the healing process, and to make any adjustments to shape and color, if needed. Before and aftercare instructions are EXTREMELY important to achieve good results.

Getting Microbladed by Michelle

Please read over the instructions in your e-mail confirmation I send you when you book your appointment. These instructions are very important for you to follow before your appointment. Do not come sunburnt, do not take any aspirin or advil 24 hours before, do not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or receive botox for 2-3 weeks prior to the appointment, or I will not microblade you. Please print and complete your consent form and bring it to your appointment with you. Please DO NOT book an appointment with me if you have an eyebrow tattoo or previous microblading without getting my prior approval. (If you do not disclose this information to me prior to your appointment I will send you home and you will forfeit your appointment time.)

At the beginning of your appointment, we will review your forms and go over any questions you may have. I will explain the entire procedure to you. First we will take off your brow makeup (if any), and I will take before photos. Then I will map on a brow design/shape and get your approval. This is your time to speak up and tell me what you want in terms of shape, thickness, arch, tail, etc. before I actually microblade you. Once we agree on a brow design, I will put a numbing cream on your brow area that will sit for 20 minutes for maximum comfort. This entire process takes about two hours, or two and half if done with shading, but please plan for the appointment to take up to 3 hours, just in case. This is not something I want to be rushed when it comes to your face. At the end of the appointment, I will send you home with aftercare instructions and make sure your second appointment with me is scheduled!

After your appointment, please follow the aftercare instructions I went over with you. How well your eyebrows heal depend on how strictly you follow your aftercare instructions. I will send you home with a copy so you can read it and reference it as needed. Do not pick at or rub your eyebrows until they are fully healed. Do not get them wet for 24-48 hours. The drier you keep them, the crisper the hairstrokes will heal.

4-6 weeks after your initial appointment, you will come back for a second appointment with me. The cost is included in your base microblading price. At the touch-up appointment, I will go back over the hairstrokes again, and add back in any hairstrokes that may have fallen out during the healing process. Any adjustments to shape or color may also be made at this time.
